No morning should be without coffee so when my coffee maker broke down I knew I was going to have to replace it fast or really end up regretting being without one, but I was nervous because the old one I had was incredibly reliable. I am a bit clumsy in the morning so I wanted something built to last. Since Cuisinart is known for making a really solid blender, I thought they might be able to provide a top notch coffee maker and the DCC-1200 is definitely that. Since I work long house, having the 12 cup option is a real blessing and allows me to not have to continually brew more coffee up. The price of $70 is a very good bargain for what you get and while the matte black color option was nice, I chose black chrome and am very happy with that. It is a very future oriented looking coffee maker and fits in well with the theme of my overall apartment. If you have guests over, having a 12 cup capacity is great because you can give everyone as much as they want without issues. The quality of the coffee this machine brews is top notch so I feel good giving them the full five stars since they really did earn it. The 3 year warranty is a definite plus but I just can’t picture this machine ever breaking due to how sturdy it is. It is also fully programmable so you can wake up to fresh charcoal water filtered coffee that has been amazing to me for the past 8 months.
